May 10, 2025 - Alexa & Justin

When I first walked into the State Room and met with Tom, he described to me what my wedding day would look like if I decided to work with them. He often said, “you will be my daughter for the day.” I remember thinking, “he must say this to everyone to win them over.” Well, since my wedding day has come and gone, I am here to tell you: He means every word. Tom treated me (and my fiancé) like family from the moment we started planning. If we wanted something, he would say, “we will make it happen,” and he always did. Even dealing with my picky family, he always exceeded our expectations and did not stop until we were happy. One small example: I ordered marquee letters for in front of our sweetheart table, but they were too tall. Tom proceeded to grab a ladder from his office, climbed to the top of it, and put the letters on top of the pillars above our sweetheart table. He always just made it work. At my wedding ceremony and before my reception, he was right there for me whenever I needed him. He had waters ready to go for me, he grabbed my flowers so they wouldn’t be too heavy, and even carried my train without blinking an eye. In addition to Tom’s amazingness, there is Lisa. Lisa was our “right hand woman” throughout our planning process. She made sure we had the answers we needed, and always kept us on track. She was so incredibly helpful, attentive, and kind. I will never forget Lisa busting into the room upstairs at the State Room with a large platter of every hors d’oeuvre and specialty drink served at our cocktail hour, and saying “we are extending cocktail hour, you two need to eat.” We were truly spoiled. Together, Tom and Lisa have wedding planning down to a science, and we don’t know what we would have done without them. Let this be your sign to have your wedding at the State Room.
